Faysim Earthquake Training Simulation System

FAYSİM offers a realistic earthquake experience to individuals with the state-of-the-art virtual reality techniques it uses. With the "Earthquake Bag Preparation", "7-12 Age Earthquake" and "Adult Earthquake" scenarios in the simulation, the goal is to enable users to be prepared for an earthquake without taking real risks in an environment that can be closest to real life.

With the wireless, low-weight and plug-and-play state-of-the-art virtual reality glasses used within FAYSİM, users

The user is completely detached from the physical environment and moved to a virtual home environment. Thanks to the realistic features offered by FAYSİM, users can walk in the virtual house at the same time as walking in real life without the need for any controller. In addition, the hand gestures that users make in real life are transferred to the virtual environment in a one-to-one manner, enabling users to complete tasks in the virtual environment by making real movements. Thanks to the modular infrastructure of FAYSİM, new virtual environments/scenarios can be developed quickly and cost-effectively and integrated into the system.

Virtual Reality Application and Earthquake Scenarios

In accordance with earthquake regulations: from the moment the earthquake starts, there are vital rules that   the player must follow. The user moves to the life triangle (safe zone) and takes the fetal position. Wait for the shaking to end. When the earthquake is over, the water valve, natural gas valve and electricity fuse must be turned off to ensure safety. Finally, the whistle (bell) must be blown. If the player does not fulfill his/her tasks, he/she will fail.

Trainer App

  • User profiles and training settings are controlled by the administrator in the instructor panel.
  • Scenario selections and earthquake intensity selection are provided on the instructor panel.
  • Virtual reality goggle images can be projected live on an external screen through the instructor application. All activities can be monitored simultaneously.
